Preplacement Medicals

Pre-placement, formally called pre-employment medicals, aim at matching an employee to a job to eliminate injuries and reduce associated problems, saving costs and protecting your workforce.

IOH provides pre-placement medical screening services to employers, assisting them in the recruitment process by identifying those applicants who may be at risk of injury or aggravation of a pre-existing injury while performing the work they are applying for.

Components of a preplacement medical may include any or all of the following:

  • Review of medical & employment history
  • Hearing assessments
  • Vision & colour vision testing
  • Lung function test
  • ECG
  • Kraus Webber and Range of Movement
  • Drug & Alcohol screening
  • Pathology
  • Musculoskeletal / Functional Assessments
